In Romania we have about 80.000 muslims and most of them are turks or tatars. In the area where we had the SBC training, in Medgidia there were a lot of efforts to plant churches among them but the situation was difficult and only very few churches appeared in all these 26 years after the Romanian Revolution. The church where we had the training has this vision for a healthy training in Biblical discipleship for all the members and the small community of ex-muslims. After they had some songs in Turkish language we had the SBC Introduction. It is interesting that in such cultures the idea of spiritual disciplines is not very developed that is why the lessons had a good impact on them.
We tested also the material in Turkish language and it is still an opened door there to have another training with other similar people. The group was not large, like 15 people but the love they shown was a great one. At the end they brought some Turkish sweets and we continued the fellowship together.
Through this experience I understood again that Lord has a great love for the muslims and the way how He is calling them to the real faith could be very different but the same impact on the stone hearts. Important for them is to continue to be stable on their foundation and trust in the Lord and maybe soon some people from this area will go in Turkey to share there the good news of our Lord!
