Dear brother Ted
I am happy to send you this update about our last Spiritual Bootcamp training from Tulcea in the time period of November 11 thru 13, 2016. This is an area with a large variety of people and ethnic groups (Russians, Ukrainians, Turks, Tatars, and Bulgarians) because of the special location where the Danube Delta begins. We were invited to help some churches in this area and I considered that the SBC tools would be appropriate to train them to be more involved in the Spiritual Disciplines. Here the Evangelical Churches started about 100 years ago but in time, especially after the revolution, they were more and more isolated and they needed much more encouragement. The participants were old and young very little in between because part of the working class moved in other areas with more jobs. We had a very good time together and especially with the young people who really appreciated our efforts to come there. We spent the time there training them in the SBC disciplines. We were also on the shore of the Danube river to share the Gospel (much needed-we met like four people and they did not know what we celebrate or why on Christmas) and most of the young people were invited to have also some cakes together and share thoughts about the discipleship. They were happy to see how important it is to be stable in the faith and I recommended them to use the books for their small Bible groups for their devotionals. People were from 3-4 different churches from that area and one of the leaders is really interested in working closer with us. He has good potential to be a SBC representative in that area and I pray to see him grow. And have a good and close collaboration with us in the future.
Thank you again for all your support and the books are a real blessing for these people and we appreciate Grace Community Church for this vision to help in those remote areas where people hardly can afford to buy books.
Please pray for us because this weekend we plan to have another SBC training in the Western part of Romania in a place called Horizon. Where the Eastern Orthodoxy is very strong and where there is much opposition to the Gospel and a lot of witchcraft there. We pray for grace from our dear Lord and protection there. And fruitfulness for the advancing of the Kingdom and for the pure impact and teaching of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
Keep close!
Be richly blessed!
Samuel
