Dear pastor Ted,

Happy New Year and happy SBCs during for the New Year!

I am glad to see how our Lord opened the doors for new opportunities to train people during this beginning of the New Year. In Romania the winter till now was not so bad and cold as usual and this gave a lot of extra time for missionaries to travel on good roads. We praise the Lord for this special season and we have a saying in Romanian language: the winter is the summer of the soul because people are not so much involved in agriculture and they can be more focused on Christian training and refreshing of the spirit.

Our first Spiritual Bootcamp training this year was in Panciu, where about 25 people participated.

The training was very interesting for them because in that area there are a lot of vineyards and Panciu is a well-known area for producing the wine and I tried to adapt the teaching to their specific needs. To be disciplined in this area of drunkenness is a major thing there because many people fall into this vicious passion. The churches there are very few and quite new planted after the Romanian Revolution so the teaching was very important for them. Also there are very few Christian leaders and usually it’s because they have secular jobs. So the work of the ministry is slow going.

They invited us again to help them more and they were very happy to receive the manuals and the calendars donated by the generosity of Bible League Romania where my brother is the National Director.

It was a blessing to serve them and to see the joy of learning on their side how to apply the Biblical strategies in their daily life.
