SBC CONFERENCE November 2ND AND 3RD 2018

 

Dear Pastor Groves;

 

We thank the Lord for giving us the opportunity to share SBC in landlocked Laos, one of the few remaining Communist states and one of East Asia's poorest.  Our team, Raquel, Christine and I agreed we could not find words to adequately describe our mission to Laos.  God worked in awesome ways to open doors for us to share SBC materials.  He put us in touch with influential key people:

            - A pastor who establishes training schools for pastors in Cambodia, Indonesia and Vietnam...

             - A Filipino pastor, respected leader in Laos and Cambodia who envisions the SBC materials used in a greater way in Asia

             - Filipinos who call themselves 'M' (Missionaries) working in the Laotian schools as teachers. Some even have monks as students.

The contacts we met and shared SBC on a one to one basis were definitely God ordained.

The government discourages large gatherings but we were able to conduct a SBC seminar in a house church Friday and Sat Nov 2nd and 3rd with 30 Filipinos in attendance.  The next day during Sunday worship in a house church Raquel gave her testimony, Christine sang and I shared God's Word. We were so blessed to have the church pray for us and speak prophetic words of encouragement for us.

The response we received and witnessed from the individuals we shared the SBC materials with was a tremendous encouragement and affirmation to us that we are joining God and His Kingdom agenda!

We thank the Lord for the simple and practical message of the Spiritual Boot Camp based on the Word of God and the opportunity to share it.
