SBC Burundi Conference Report

Dear Ted, it is with great pleasure that I am sending you this report about the (SBC) Pastors’ conference that was held at Kanyosha Evangelical Church of Central Africa. We had 39 participants who came from eight different church denominations:

1. Evangelical Church of central Africa (Kanyosha local Church)

2. Evangelical Church of Servants of God 

3. Evangelical Church of Peace

4. Fountain of LIFE Church in Burundi 

5. Evangelical FOURSQUAIRE Church of Burundi

6. Pentecostal Church

7. Good News Church in Burundi

8. EEABDBU Church in Burundi 

After two days of SBC Pastors’ Conference, we gave to our participants the opportunity to share with us what they benefited from this conference. Here are some of what they said:

Rev. MANIHANKUYE Jean Bosco from Fountain of Life church in Burundi):

“I am so thankful to God, that I was able to participate in this SBC Pastors’ conference. These teachings have helped me to understand that there are two big armies in war. The Lord’s army against the Devil’s army. I and every Christian must be aware about this spiritual warfare that we face every day of our lives. I think myself as well as my colleagues whom we were together during the session should share these teachings with other church leaders who are in different provinces of Burundi, so they may acknowledge this biblical doctrine and understand that we are up against a powerful enemy (the Devil) to fight him wisely and to conquer him. 

On my behalf, I would say, these teachings are so needed to the local Churches; and the (SBC) Burundi team is most welcome to provide more training for us. The doors are widely opened”.

“I thank you for inviting me to participate in this Pastors’ Conference. I feel more skilled about the four subjects which are: PURITY, PROTECTION, PREACHING and PRIORITY. I am thankful for every lesson we were taught, as well as the scripture verses we were given. They are for great importance” 

BRIEFLY

All participants who attended the SBC Conference said that the conference helped them to understand the persistent spiritual warfare and that every Christian should be aware and ready to defeat the Devil. All Church denominations invited in the Conference are so interested and they welcome the Burundi SBC Team to go and teach them. May glory be to our God.

On our behalf Burundi SBC Team; we were so glad and enjoyed to hear different testimonies from the pastors who participated the SBC Conference. We are so thankful to God for what He did during this SBC conference. The feedback from the participants was positive. Therefore the Burundi (SBC) team is ready to move to different places of the country of Burundi, and why not across the borders. We thank all participants invited in the conference for welcoming Burundi SBC Team to provide more teachings to their local churches. We promised them that very soon we are going to visit their Churches and discuss with them what will be their contribution to award these teachings in their local Churches. …

We want to let you know that Burundi (SBC) Team is to move forward to organize pastors’ conferences in Bujumbura upper country side areas within the upcoming weeks.
